Facilities

The Advanced Alloys Laboratory is supported by facilities for mechanical testing, high-strain-rate deformation, thermal analysis, electrochemical and hydrogen-related measurements, and advanced materials characterisation. Our research also draws on shared instrumentation within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Electron Microscope Unit at The University of Hong Kong, including electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, atomic-force microscopy, and focused-ion-beam capabilities.
